A fundamental part of our local memories
Many years after the closure of the mining operation and the dismantling of the railway line, the A Pontenova residents collective memories is still that of the start of a mining-industrial operation and the arrival of the train to a rural area which was practically isolated from the coast.
Even the younger generations, who never saw the train running still maintain memories of reminiscences about mine activity and train travel from their parents and grandparents.
