Ruta do Ferrocarril

This runs along the old route of the railway line that linked the iron mines of Vilaoudriz (currently A Pontenova) with the loading dock of Porto Estreito located at the entrance of the estuary at Ribadeo.

Of the almost 33 km of the original track, a third is now restored as a green path, this section is between the first two old train stations, that of “Villaodrid” (currently the Tourist Office of A Pontenova) and that of “San Tirso” (now converted and used as private housing).

Like all paths of this type, the route is practically flat (there is only one slope with a slow rise of 20 meters in the more than 12 km) so it does not offer any difficulty, being suitable for all types of pedestrians and / or cyclists.
